PTC Construction evolved from the necessity of providing maintenance to the country elevator system employed by Paterson Grain, which was established in 1908. Paterson Grain employed over one hundred wooden elevators at one time, all requiring specialized expertise of our maintenance and construction crews.

Today, maintenance of the country elevators is only one facet of PTC Construction's operations. We now build inland terminals that support Paterson's grain handling network and provide engineer consulting, project management, supervision, mechanical and millwright services to name a few.

Projects to date have included various inland terminals of up to 33,000 tonne capacity, a 125,000 tonne capacity feed mill, project management and general contracting services as well as consulting services on the completion of a 5,400 sow barn and several hog finishing barns. Our ability to work with professional architects and designers and our own draftsmen enable us to build to our client's custom specifications. Our work includes specialized installation of mechanical cleaning equipment, storage bins, motors and conveyors, spouting, load-outs, weigh scales, legs and drives among others all employing the services of our work crews with expertise in concrete pouring, hoarding and general carpentry.
